NIKKA FROM THE BARREL

A distinguished Japanese whisky rich in character. Nikka from the barrel stands out for its piquant essence and velvety flavor. At 51.4% abv, the whisky contributes to a lavish flavor palette featuring hints of spices and desiccated fruits. Crafting this premium Japanese blended whisky involves the meticulous blending and aging of matured malt and grain whiskies. The Japanese art known as Nikka whisky is the “child” of Masataka Taketsuru, the first person to create Japanese whisky.

Nikka Japanese whiskies have two distilleries, one in Hokkaido (Yoichi Distillery) and one in Miyagi (Miyagikyo/Sendai Distillery).

The Yoichi distillery is the last in Japan to use coal heating, preserving the traditional character of the spirit.

Miyagikyo produces a lighter and more fruity whisky, similar to those of the lowlands in Scotland.
