OYAKO DON PAN AND ITS LID

The oyako don is a very simple dish and very popular in Japan.
It consists of a layer of rice covered with chicken and egg, hence the name "oyako" which means "parent and child".
Everything is seasoned with soy sauce, mirin and dashi.
